As a statutory State agency the SEC has a properly constituted internal audit function. An audit is an independent inspection or assessment of data or business processes. The SEC carefully audits its work to maintain its quality and to learn where it needs to improve to ensure that money spent represents good value for the taxpayer's money. Mazars, a Dublin based firm, have been appointed to provide the Commission's internal audit function. The Commission's Audit Committee is an independent committee which provides advice.

The members of the Committee are:

  • Mary Ryan, (Chair)

  • Joe Harrison – External Member
