What can I do if I am unhappy with the outcome of the appeal process?
You can get formal confirmation from an Independent Appeals Scrutineer that all appeal processes were carried out properly. Independent Appeals Scrutineers are independent of the State Examinations Commission. A Scrutineer has the power to request all documentation in relation to an appeal to establish that procedures were properly carried out.
In order to make an application to an Appeals Scrutineer you may opt to view a re-marked script and following such viewing you may make observations on any matter in the script as part of the application process to the Scrutineers. The Secretariat to the Scrutineers, in preparing to submit your application for consideration by the Scrutineers, will first seek clarification from the Commission on any matters raised by you with the Scrutineers in relation to your script. This will be done so that the Scrutineers can fully consider your application.
